MEDAL SOCIETY OF IRELAND (MSOI)

 15th JANUARY, 2018.

 

 

A happy New Year to all our members from the Executive Committee of MSOI.

 

We would like to advise members of the forthcoming events:-

 

·        There will be an *Executive Committee Meeting next Saturday, 20th January at 3pm at Collins Barracks Museum.

In advance of the meeting, you are invited to please forward suggestions as to activities, lectures or excursions for 2018 to myself or another Executive Committee member. They will be given full consideration at Executive meeting.

·        The next fair to be held by the MSOI is on Saturday 3rd February, in the Knox Memorial Hall, Monkstown, Co. Dublin from 11am to 4 pmThere will be a general meeting for all members at 4pm immediately after the fair.

·        Further fairs will be held at the same venue on the 5th May, 4th August and 3rd November 2018.

·        To mark the 100th issue a bumper edition of the journal will be issued shortly.

·        Members are reminded that their subscriptions (€20.00) are now due and should be forwarded to the Membership Secretary, Liam Corcoran, Mayfield, Ballinea, Mullingar, Co. ·        We hope to issue a full list of the Society’s intended activities after the meeting on the 3rd February.

Important Notice

The day trip to see the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers Museum at Enniskillen will take place on Saturday, 31st March. 

The tour will include, among other things, a visit to the Fermanagh County Museum and the Historic Castle.

Those wishing to participate should give their names to Pat Casey 087-2447522 or Austin Fennessey. Please book your place as soon as possible as capacity is limited.

Bus leaves Heuston Station, Dublin at 8 a.m. and returns at around 8 p.m.
